Chabby chic

Whiteness and all the shades of white mixed with another colours have always been a huge trend and a success in interior designing. Bright colours never merge perfectly with all interiors though they manage to overwhelm the area with positive reflections. This is a comparison to intense colours that tend to often dominate within the interiors.

A room which is dominated by white or lighter colours or completely other colours with a white tint, creates a very professional, cosy and warm atmosphere.
In recent years the popularity of shabby chic furniture has been gained – in other words it is a stylised antiqued wood. This furniture represent the South European style. They add lightness and cosiness to any interior.

Most of the shabby chic furniture is a hand-antiqued furniture, it is done so using special paints and varnishes.
Apart from the interiors with chabby chic furniture – many use this style to further painting of wooden floors and wooden roof trusses in white. And hands down – it always looks phenomenally fresh and cosy. Most importantly when combined with a fireplace in a room many declare they would never leave the room if it was possible.

Weekend at cabin

Last weekend was probably one of the coolest this fall. My friend has a cabin in the mountains – a small wooden hut in the middle of the forest. Altrouch he still renovating his cabin since this year spring, but who takes care of the luxuries when you have view such like this? Besides, we light a fireplace every evening, drunk some good wine... That was the autumn paradise!

Fireplace at bedroom

Fireplace in the bathroom? Maybe some of us consider it as extravagance, but why not make it?
Despite it might seem, the costs of implementation aren't extravagant:) I your property is already fireplace (for exmple – in living room). Just check that the chimney is adjacent to the bathroom wall. If it is – start planning your own coziest bathroom in the whole world.

Usually I saw bedroom fireplaces in various historical and old buldings. Increasingly, people are appreciate the charm of  natural fire. No electric or gas stove can replace a real fireplace. Besides, fireplaces and wood burning stoves become more modern design, so they look excillent even in the futuristic interiors.
However, I support contrasts between modern and classic design.

Minimalistic home idea

This one idea truly enchanted me. I'm dreaming of a large open space like this. In despite, it's difficult to arrange this propely. In here uses the simplest materials - wood and concrete. Chceck the colours - grey, white... sounds borning and not homely? But adding simply extras like stylish carpet, fur and large comfortable sofa breaks cold of this space. In the room centre are fireplace - most important element in the whole room.

Absolutley love it!

White backgound always work!

Week ago I wrote about well minimal-designed attic. This time i fond something simillar, but without stones. Whats special about this one? A coffie table made of raw wood. Everthing in this room is well thought out. Colours, white background, photo gallery on the wall. But the coffie table gives final look for the whole room.

Mansion kitchen with fireplace

I few weeks ago i went with my team work check our next assigment. I'm working on the renovation of nineteenth-century villas and mansions quite often, so another one didn't impress me. But while I saw the kitchen in the basement I realized it will be a really interesing challenge. Fireplaces for cooking was very common in the nineteenth-century, just imagine those bustling cooks and servants. A lot's of ideas comes to my mind and still coming. I want to add a little modern touch with metal and aluminium accessories. Cabinets will be made of raw wood... I think we made something truly outstanding.

Here it is - "my kitchen" looks almost exacly the same ->

Minimal colours

Usually I do preffer rich decorative interors. You know - chandeliers, vases, baroque motives and all in-between.
But last time i absolutley fell in love with minimal decorative at large spaces - like in this picture. Whoever said that greys colours can be rich - he was wrong. A little piece of silver, chrome and white fur on the floor add special and unique luxurious felling. However grey shades and black colour are consider to be not cozy. But look - pireplace, fur and huge windows (add natural light) adds lots of cozy felling.
Absolutley amazing!
